David Townson
David has enabled innovation in areas as varied as returnable transit packaging, cat flaps, location-based sports booking apps and automated banking services. He has been a product designer in manufacturing and a director at service design pioneers live|work. At the UK Design Council, he developed and delivered programs to capitalise on the strategic value of design. With the LUMA Institute, he teaches the LUMA System as a certified lead instructor
David has worked with universities, startups, medium-sized and global businesses and government organisations to understand and better apply human-centred design practices, creating valuable product and service offers as a result.. He co-founded What Could Be in 2020 to help others create more things people love and fewer things people hate.
